HHM 7/6/2015

Hello!  Hello!  Hello!  Glad you stopped by.  As soon as hubby gets back I'm going to go turn the espresso machine on.  I finally got some milk.  I've been wanting a cold latte (not iced, I just don't steam the milk) for about a week now.  Hang around, I'll get you one too.  While you're waiting, how about reading my Happy Homemaker Monday post for this week.

The weather in my neck of the woods:
We have a cold front moving in this afternoon.  Cold front is welcome, but the rain it's bringing, is supposed to also bring flooding.  Rain is good, but not so much that it floods.  I'm thankful for it all though.

Things that make me happy:
Seeing my Papa :-D  97 years old and still doing pretty darn good.

Menu for this week:
salad for lunch today, probably hamburger helper for supper, tomorrow supper most likely BBQ chicken. Still need to make that crockpot creamy corn too.  Need to go to the store again. *sigh*

What's on my TV today:
Nothing today, I may watch some YouTube videos or a movie later this week.


Looking around the house:

Kitchen.....not bad, most of the dishes are done and needing put away.  The grill needs cleaned.

Living room.....it's looking pretty good too, chairs need straightened and will need to vacuum on Thursday night.

Bathroom.....it's not bad, will clean it on Friday.

Bedroom......it needs swept, but isn't too bad, really.

On my To Do List:

Nothing major on my agenda right now. I do need to get some water bottles filled with water to take upstairs for Fuzzy.  There is always something that could be cleaned (if I get around to it).  Maybe go to the gym tonight.

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:
It's too hot to cook right now.  Can;t run the AC and any of my appliances at the same time. *sigh*


In the craft basket:
I'm still working on the afghan for my sister.  I've also been hooking the Rich Textures Tote for the Yarnspirations Summer Beach Bag Stitch-along.  I have the bag done, just need to make the straps and attach them.  You can see the beginnings of the bag in my previous post. My next project(s) is going to be the Tunisian Simple Dish Cloth

Looking forward to this week:
Cooler temps this week (means no AC needed unless it's super humid) Friday nights are fun at the castle.  It's Game Night with the "Young Adults".

Tips and Tricks:
You can cook hamburger helper in a pot.  I precooked my hamburger on the grill (did it all at once for later use), and couldn't find my skillet, so I used my 2 quart pot.  Just put it all in and stir occasionally just like you would in the skillet.

Lesson learned the past few days:

I'm sure I've learned many, but right now I can't think one anything in particular.

On my mind:
My mind is pretty blank right now.  Doesn't happen very often, but it's nice when it does.
