Happy Homemaker Monday 5-18=2015

The weather in my neck of the woods:
We do have a river flood warning, but we are far enough from the river it doesn't directly affect us right now.  The temperature isn't  too bad today.  There is a nice breeze too.  Here is what's to come though:  Look at those possible stormy days.

Things that make me happy:
Cheaper electric bills because I refuse to turn the AC on yet.

Menu for this week:
Not sure need to figure something out.  our fridge went out so we had to toss some things.  Thankfully we caught it soon enough that we were able to save most of it.

What's on my TV today:
Nothing today, I may watch some YouTube videos or a movie later this week.

Looking around the house:
Other than the few spots I need to clean because the cat threw up, it's not too bad right now.

On my To Do List:

Laundry tonight!  The rest of the week it will be moving games and starting to build some stairs to a gaming area at the Castle.

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:
Need to remember what pizza crust recipe we liked.  I am wanting to make some homemade pizzas.

In the craft basket:
I have a ripple afghan in the works.  Am using some old I found

Looking forward to this week:
the weekend!  hopefully we are BUSY!

Tips and Tricks:
Blackout curtains on windows make a HUGE difference in room temperature

No words needed (favorite photo or picture):

Whatever works, right?  Wanted to open the only window we had fixed, so we could get the nice cool breeze.  We put up one of the side rail things (it helps hold the window in and most all windows are missing at least one), and had the window propped open with the little wood blocks.  That didn't let in much air at all.  SO, I scrounged around and found these racks that looks like the came out of a freezer or fridge, and tied them together and to the window it's self.  The window has a groove in the bottom, which is perfect for setting down on the racks.

Lesson learned the past few days:
Taking baby steps on a project gets it done.

On my mind:
um.....not much right now.  Just wanting something cold to drink and I'm hungry so
Supper is starting to cross my mind.

    1. That does look yummy Jean! The one I had was similar to Pizza Hut's and was cooked in a iron skillet.
