Here is what I've been up to lately in addition to the final stages of moving a restaurant/arcade  (thankfully just moving across the street)

Finished and SOLD!

I started this slouchy hat on Feb. 2nd and finished it on the 7th.  I shared it with my online crochet group and it was SOLD before noon.

I love  the extra "slouch" it has.  I used an "I" hook instead of an "H" hook until the decrease, then I jumped down to a "G".  The pattern suggests using an "H" for the entire hat.

Also Hubby sold one of my other slouchy's at our shop the other day and the customer had a request, so that's what I'm working on now.  I should have it finished by Monday.

HHM 2/2/2015

I just can't get motivated today.  Doesn't help that I'm not feeling well.   The weather doesn't help much either.  It's turned COLD for a couple days before warming back up and turning cold again. *sigh*  and Phil saw his shadow today, so that means 6 more weeks of this yo-yo weather.

Today's Breakfast Menu:::
not feeling well but I've had an orange and a gumball.

The weather this week:::

It shows on ABC Family on Tuesday night.  If I don't catch it then I watch it later.

I have also started watching The Pioneers on YouTube.  It's a National Geographic series.

Another Slouchy Hat.  Yah I'm lovin' this one.  Glad I have a second skein cause I KNOW who's getting one.  I joined a Pay It Forward on Facebook, and this will be perfect for one of my recipients.

Tonight's to do list:::
Laundry has to be done!  We also need to go get more plumbing supplies.  We are working on the water lines at our new building.

Recipe I recently tried:::

CHEESY BACON JALAPENO CORN DIP

It was pretty good.  It needs a little tweaking to meet our standards.  I plan on making in again sometime with modifications.

I like to:::
be lazy.  Don't get to do it often though.

Today I'm wearing:::
sweat pants, my pink tennis shoes, a black t-shirt and a sweat shirt..

Crochet Catch Up

We finally got all that stuff cleaned out of the upstairs of our new building.  Hubby estimates he has recycled 2 ton of metal and stuff, and we had 2 ton of stuff hauled off this past week, and an estimated 1 ton more we could out in the regular trash, so 5 ton of stuff removed.  The building is probably relieved!  I'm glad it's cleaned out.  Still lots of work to do upstairs, but now we have cleaner rooms that we can store things in.

I have done a little crochet in between working, working and working.  I also looked back and I haven't shared any project pictures for almost a month.   Here goes:

70's hair ties (I had lots of these growing up)

Flower garland
(I am giving this as a baby shower gift)

I am getting ready to start another slouchy hat.....only I'm using a different pattern for this one.  Here is the yarn I will be using:

Back to work!  The weather has turned cold again, so I have the urge to hook more.

I know, I've been MIA

Ya I know I haven't posted in over a week, but there has been no time.  If you knew what all has been going on you'd shake your head and wonder what in the world we are thinking.  LOL!  We've been working, between both businesses and the building 16 hours a day most days.  We have changed our hours a little so we aren't spread so thin, but we've still been working.

We bought a building back in November to move Cosmic Castle into (read all about it HERE and keep up on the progress) and we are working hard to get the upstairs cleaned out.  It was so messy with fallen plaster and just trash and much more that it was hard to walk through at first.  WE have recycled a lot of stuff, and thrown a lot of stuff out.  We are down to the things we can't (or aren't supposed to) put in a regular dumpster, so we rented a roll-off.   I had to call the city and get special permission to have it "parked" on the street for a week (hopefully less).  We've tossed out toilets and broken furniture and bunches of carpet......and lots of plaster.  Last night I swept and shoveled and hubby took buckets down to put in the dumpster.  This isn't a very good picture, since there is no electric upstairs and we are doing everything by flashlight, but look at this floor!

Absolutely AMAZING!  Thankfully it has been preserved under plaster and trash.  Most of the floor upstairs looks good.  The goal is to put the things we want to keep/recycle in the room we cleaned out last night, and clean a few more rooms to store the seasonal things for The Castle, THEN make room for us to live upstairs.  Probably gonna be pretty primitive at first.  I'm always up for an adventure though.

SO now you know what I've been doing in my absence, and if I don't blog for a while, rest assured I'll be back, but I'm probably busy moving and cleaning.

I do have a couple of crochet projects I have finished that I need to share about.  One is a little girl's purse and the other is hair ties.  I'm currently working on cute little flowers to make into a spring crochet garland.
